Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long have you been a photographer?

I first started using a camera for travel photography and documenting life about 7 years ago now, I started shooting portraiture not long after.

I’ve been a working professional photographer for about 5 years now

  • How many photos will we get

I aim to deliver between between 70 and 100 images per hour of shooting. I do shoot an awful lot more than that, I go through the process of removing all the blinks, the guffaws and other oopsies so that you don’t have to even think about them.

  • When will we receive our photos?

For weddings, you can expect to see your galleries within 8-12 weeks. It’s not uncommon that I will send through sneak previews ahead of this schedule, especially for the big moments that you really want to see! I do have an optional on the day edit, and faster turnarounds available as well.

For portrait sessions you can expect to see images within 1-2 weeks.

  • How do we book you?

Well from here I like to have a chat, get to know each other and you can decide from there if I’m your ideal photographer. You can book that from the contact page. It doesn’t take long and I’m friendly, I promise. After that it’s as simple as sending you a contract and signing the dotted line.

  • What equipment do you use?

For all the fellow gear nerds, this you will know is one of my favourite questions! I’ve got a mini arsenal of equipment that’s growing all the time.

For all the non gear nerds, the important headline is I only use professional level equipment, I make sure all images are in two places at once, so there is as little chance of losing images as possible.

I shoot all Canon bodies and lenses

    Canon R6s

    EF 24-70mm f4L IS, RF 70-200mm f2.8L IS, EF16-35mm f4L IS, EF 35mm f2 IS, RF 50mm f1.8, EF 85mm f1.8 & RF 100mm f2.8L Macro

  • Do you use any lighting?

Yes, I do! To make sure you get the best possible images I bring a bunch of lighting equipment. I carry speedlites to be used both on and off camera, and some more powerful battery operated strobes for larger group photos and to build more dramatic images.

I use primarily Godox lighting equipment including (for the gear nerds here it it) this includes V869ii speedlites, AD200 pro and AD300 pro strobes. To make those look even better I carry reflectors, umbrellas, sometimes softboxes even.

  • How much do you charge?

Every couple and every wedding is unique, so every package I put together is just for you, and has what you need.

Pricing for a full day starts at £1,200 to shoot the whole day from getting ready to the last dance (well, the last one you want documented at least). This includes your edited gallery online and available for download, we can add things from here to make sure you get everything you want!

  • What if I don't feel comfortable on camera?

Well, honestly, me neither. I get it. Cameras can look kinda scary, and throw you off! That’s why I’m there to get you talking, put you at ease, and get you feeling more natural. Maybe you’ll even stop thinking about the camera altogether and just have a great time creating memories!

  • What do you wear?

I’ll usually check with you what the attire is before I show up. It’s part of that getting to know you and hear about your wedding chat. If everyone is showing up in suit and tie, I’ll be doing the same! But you don’t want your photographer showing up and out dressing the groomsmen, so if your big day is a little more casual on the dress code, it’ll maybe be chinos and a dress shirt.

  • What happens if we need to change the date?

This is a major question, especially at the moment and it’s a stressful thing to need to do. Because of that, if you need to reschedule your wedding owing to the COVID-19 pandemic you will not be charged and I will work with you to make sure the change is as easy as possible.

  • Do you offer prints?

Printing your photos is an amazing way to decorate your home and really understand the value in photography. Seeing those images in print, on canvas, in a book, is an amazing feeling!

I provide print services for everything from frameless 4x6 prints to large format framed prints, photo books, lay flat books (these are super cool!) and even canvases or metal prints.
